Specialty Advertising
Specialty advertising is in some ways related to direct advertising, as specialty advertising puts an item directly in the hands of the customer or hoped-for customer. Specialty advertising is used by many different types of companies and individual professionals. Specialty advertising can be used by a major corporation, or a local insurance sales office. Specialty advertising is simply using some form of giveaway item to remind a client or customer of the products or services offered by the company who distributes the specialty advertising item. For example, a car dealership might give everyone who comes in to look at an automobile a key ring with the dealer's name on it...a specialty advertising item. A book store might give away book marks as a specialty advertising item. At business shows where companies maintain booths promoting their products, nearly every booth will have a specialty advertising item. A very common type of specialty advertising giveaway is a pen with the company or individual professional's name on it. Hopefully, the potential client will use this specialty advertising item, and thus be reminded regularly of the company or person who gave it to them. Sometimes small notepads with the giver's name on it will be used as a specialty advertising item. One has only to search the internet to find numerous companies who offer a wide variety of specialty advertising items to corporations and professionals. Specialty advertising is a very inexpensive form of advertising, as the items used can be purchased in large quantities at low cost. A multitude of specialty advertising items are available in every shape and form imaginable, so it is usually possible for an advertisers to find a specialty advertising item which relates in some way to the business or product being promoted. Some examples of companies and professionals who use specialty advertising regularly include real estate agencies, insurance agents, dentists and doctors, manufacturing companies, auto dealerships...all use on occasion different types of specialty advertising items. If you operate a small business or are a professional wishing to keep your name visible to clients or potential clients, investigate the possibilities of specialty advertising. As stated, some specialty advertising is given to potential customers at the site of a business show or other location where a large number of people may pass through or be congregated. A special lecture which is designed to promote a line of products, perhaps health products, for example, might be an occasion for the use of specialty advertising. In this case the item might be a replica of a particular product or an item which suggests the use of the product, with the company name on the item. There are specialty items available relating to almost any kind of product, which require only that the name of the advertiser be put on the specialty item.
