Truck Advertising

Truck advertising as discussed here is not advertising to sell trucks...at least not most of the time...but advertising displayed on trucks to sell other products. If a truck is owned by the company or person whose advertising is displayed on the truck, the cost of truck advertising is almost zero. The truck advertising in this case involves only the cost of putting the words and/or pictures on the truck. From there on, it's free. And this truck advertising is free for as long a time and as many miles as the owner wishes.

If the owner of a truck, with perhaps a small moving business, he can put his own advertising on the truck, or he can get paid to carry someone else's advertising, truck advertising for a profit. Or perhaps the truck owner could work it both ways: truck advertising on one side for his own business and truck advertising on the other for pay.

Major businesses whose products are sold over a wide area...coast to coast or around the globe...will advertise their own products through truck advertising. Everywhere the truck travels....and it will be many thousands of miles...the truck advertising emblazoned on the truck will force the message on the eyes of thousands of people...getting a lot of mileage for the corporation's truck advertising dollars.

Local moving companies can also capitalize on truck advertising. With name, phone number and a concise message on the side of the truck, they are imprinting their truck advertising message on the eyes of hundreds of people every time they make a move.

Many local businesses use the principle of truck advertising when they put their name and logo or phone number on the side of a van. Florists are a good example of this kind of truck advertising, even though the truck is a van.

Other examples of businesses who might or do employ truck advertising include local grocers who deliver orders, supermarket delivery trucks, caterers, and large local retail outlets. As stated, truck advertising is a very inexpensive form of advertising, as it only involves the initial cost of the artwork and lettering, and after that the truck advertising is visible to the public long term and often over long distance. There is no limit to the length of time for which truck advertising can keep on working for the advertiser.

There are numerous businesses who might take advantage of the value of truck advertising but do not do so because they are not aware of the returns on truck advertising in relation to the advertising dollars spent. Any business which uses trucks for any purpose can imprint their business name and a good advertising slogan on a truck and this truck advertising will have high visibility and long-term effectiveness for months and miles to come. Every time the truck is on the road, hundreds, perhaps thousands of people will see the advertiser's name and message and will recall it when they need the goods or services advertised.
