In today’s world when people don’t have enough time for enough exercise, they tend to spend on fitness equipments more. Exercise bikes are the most extensively bought exercise equipment. The Upright Exercise is just like your normal outdoor bike. Its basic idea is that you sit upright, lean on the handlebar and pedal below your body. The Recumbent Exercise bike is so designed that it makes your exercising more comfortable and without strain on any of your body part. It usually consists of a seat with a back and pedals are in front of your body. Handlebars are on either side of the seat but are not necessarily used. On a Recumbent bike you sit in a reclined position. This is why more and more Gym and home exercise equipment owner are opting for this bike. The Recumbent bike is very easy to get on and off, has generally a large seat and has a back support to it. This enables larger or physically disabled people to enjoy their exercise. This cannot be done when using an Upright Exercise bike. The reclined position of the recumbent exercise bike adds to its many safety benefits. The upright bike can be harmful as it may sprain your back but the recumbent bikes are especially comfortable for the back. You sit on a large seat that offers much support and is easier on the back. It is also believed that instead of the vertical pedaling motion of the upright bike, the horizontal pedaling is much more easier on the knee and the leg joints.
