Fashion And StyleFashion and Style really go hand in hand. In fact the word style is in the definition of fashion. But you can have style without adhering to current fashion so fashion and style are also two different things. Fashion and style can refer to what style is fashionable. And all kinds of styles have been and will be high fashion. but having style can mean your own personal style. And creating your own style can include creating your own fashion by taking a little of this and a little of that because you like it and presto, you have your own fashion and style. Fashion and style are part of a huge industry that touches everyone world wide. Even the poorest people in the poorest countries, due to television, have been exposed to fashion and style and want a some of it. Everyone has seen photos of a little barefoot child standing in some mud or dirt outside a shack in a third world country and she or he might have on an oversized tee shirt sporting a very recognizable fashion logo. It is not that this little child knows about fashion and style, but somehow that shirt crossed borders and and is advertising fashion and style in the same moment that it is showing this needy child to the world. But aside from something random like that, people are seeing the Western world of fashion and style on the TV screen on actors and in commercials and all this stuff of fashion and style is becoming desired by people everywhere. Even when people can't afford to buy or have to where to find the items shown in current fashion and style, the look is often imitated. It can be something as simple as wearing baggy pants, or wearing a cap on backwards. And fashion and style is not just referring to clothing. Fashion and style also refers to the way you wear your hair, your jewelry, the music you listen to the way you dance, the way you talk and the way you walk because fashion is about dress, behavior and speech. It may be currently fashionable and/or stylish to add a certain word to the end of every sentence or to speak in "up-talk" like the valley girls did and still may do... Fashion and style is also about how you decorate your living space. It was very fashionable to use a lot of Indian print fabrics as throws, curtains and bedspreads in the hippie days. Then at another time the fashion and style for decorating was incorporating a great deal of black and chrome into your decorating motif. Some of these fashions and styles were short lived and some are still very popular, at least with a certain group of people. So fashion and style is fairly broad and encompassing. And fashion and style is very personal, although as with everything, it is very difficult to come up with anything truly original and that is true with fashion and style as well.
