Outdoor GamesAlmost all games can be played indoors if you had a large enough space, but some games were just meant to be outdoor games and will only be truly fun and successful if they remain outdoor games. One of the popular outdoor games world wide is soccer. As far as outdoor games go, this one could be played indoors and has been, but it just loses something. Soccer is much more fun to watch and to play outdoors. The same holds true for football. There have been attempts to build stadium and play football indoors in colder climates, but the idea just never really caught on. Outdoor games were meant to be outdoor games and thats that. People will put up with being cold and wet if you can keep their outdoor games real and keep them as outdoor games. Watching baseball, football or soccer being played in a domed stadium on artificial turf is like watching a bunch of guys play the game in someone's basement. It stinks. Outdoor games were meant to be outdoor games and that is the way it has to remain. There are other outdoor games that they have never tried to bring indoors. Outdoor games like golf and skiing for instance. Can you imagine watching or participating in these outdoor games, indoors? Golf, especially of many outdoor games requires a lot of space. It also requires natural turf and wind. The natural elements are all part of the play of outdoor games. There is something exhilarating about outdoor games because you are outside. Sometimes, you are playing or watching the outdoor games in the fresh air and sunshine. And sometimes, you are playing or watching the outdoor games in the cold or rain, but that is all part of the fun of outdoor games. People spend too much of their lives indoors as it is so that is why they enjoy outdoor games so much. There is basic human need to be outdoors where the air isn't filtered and the light is natural. Outdoor games have always been popular for just these reasons. People used to play indoor games only when they couldn't get outside to play outdoor games. It was natural to want to be outdoors as much as possible. The modern age has changed man's behavior and made him a much more sedentary, indoor creature and TV is partly to blame for a lot of that and then computers, video games and the internet. Now people spend way too much time indoors, but they still love outdoor games and at least get out sometimes to play and to watch outdoor games.
