Holiday CardsHoliday cards can be the icing on the cake so to speak or the gift itself. Holiday cards come in all sizes shapes and for every occasion. It seems that new holidays are created just to add inventory possibilities to the holiday card industry. Holiday cards can be homemade, purchased in specialty card shops or sent through cyberspace and have to molecular structure to them at all. But I bet almost everyone remembers some of the first holiday cards of their lives from childhood. These holiday cards would be the ones that small school children make for their mothers. At every holiday, there was a little art project in school to provide the students the opportunity to make a holiday card for mom or dad. This gave little ones something to give that showed their love...something they made all by themselves. Decades ago, these handmade cards often sported doilies or pressed flowers or sometimes cardboard frames that held tiny pieces of artwork or even a photo. There were cards for holidays like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas and so on. Making these holiday cards in kindergarden or first grade with construction paper and white paste (that tasted really good, I must say.) Crayons were used to color little hearts or flowers and lettered messages that were written with great care. Holiday cards are one of those things that could be collected as the vintage cards are amazing. Card companies now are making cards that are new, but look vintage. This is especially true for Valentines. Holiday cards are a great way to give cash, checks or gift certificates and cards. They produced holiday cards that are custom designed for this purpose. There are also holiday cards that play music, record voice messages and can be personalized with photos. Holiday cards have certainly come a long way over the years. The whole world of e-cards is amazing too. These holiday cards are animated, musical and can be very entertaining. Some of them are available online for free. Or you can upgrade and pay for more elaborate versions. Some of the biggest greeting card companies offer electronic holiday cards on the internet and they are fun to choose, create and send and receive. So we have lots of choices when it comes to holiday cards. Make your own and hand deliver, buy a special holiday card and send it through the mail or send them electronically via the internet. The choice is yours.
